Services

Conversion

The Cathedral warmly welcomes individuals to explore the richness of Orthodoxy and to consider its applicability to their own lives. We would recommend the following as you explore our faith and its traditions:

  • Join us for our Sunday liturgy: Our services start at 9am on Sundays and are followed by our fellowship hour in the church basement (including coffee and light snacks). Our parish council members, Philoptochos and other representatives from the Cathedral's many organizations would be happy to meet with you to discuss your needs and our offerings. Also, please visit the Cathedral's bookstore (located in the church basement and open during our fellowship hour) for additional literature on the Orthodox faith.
  • Attend our Inquiry to Orthodoxy Class: Led by the Cathedral's Father John Tavlarides, our Inquiry into Orthodoxy is in its 45th year and provides a wonderful overview of the Orthodox faith and its traditions.
  • Meet with our Priests: Father John Tavlarides and Father Steve Zorzos welcome the opportunity to share the richness of our faith with you and are available by appointment to discuss the possibility of converting to the Orthodox faith. To schedule an appointment, please contact the Cathedral office at 202.333.4730.
